My heart started to sing the moment I laid eyes on them. When it came to balloons, the nursery at home as well as the automobile were stuffed to the brim until they were completely full. The nursery was so spotless that it is difficult to imagine it was there.
At the same time that we were getting ready to meet our new family member, Suzie’s favorite songs were playing quietly on a mix that had been carefully edited. The composition of the music was superbly executed. In light of everything that Suzie had been through during her pregnancy, I was resolute in my intention to make her homecoming home even more memorable than it already was. I was aware of how challenging things had been for her.
Having stated that, at the time that I arrived at her hospital room, I was completely speechless due to the events that were taking place. Regardless of whether or not my daughters Emily and Grace were soundly sleeping in their bassinets, Suzie was still nowhere to be found whenever I looked for her.
A single piece of paper was the only thing that was there on the table that was adjacent to the bed, and the room was eerily quiet. A rather insignificant quantity of work was completed. As I grasped it, my hands began to shake because I was so pleased about it. It was not difficult to decipher her handwriting, but the lines it contained were somewhat peculiar:
I am departing. Ensure that they continue to be safe and have good health. Investigating the reasons behind your mother’s actions against me would be the finest course of action for you to take.
Anxiety started to set in not too much longer after that. Being curious about her whereabouts, I made a beeline for the nurses’ station and asked her where she was. I was curious about where she had gone. That morning, she checked out, and I informed them that I had received everything that they had sent. All of them stated that I was not. I was unaware of the reason she was going, and this was very certainly not the manner in which she was leaving. It came as a surprise to everyone when she left. On the other hand, I had the impression that she felt that way about how much she enjoyed it.
