Patients reveal the most awkward doctor visit they’ve ever had

Patients expose the most embarrassing doctor visit they have ever had.

Sometimes visits to the doctor’s might be uncomfortable. Of course, it depends on the issue we have, but generally speaking, unless it’s for a happy occasion like delivering a baby, hospitals are not the place we would most want to find ourselves in.

On Reddit, people “reveal awkward” interactions with their doctors; while some of them are painful, others are simply funny.

1) Unusual Blue Hand Condition of a Patient Reveals Blue Jeans

U/raybanomics: Not me; nonetheless, my roommate visited the doctor as his hands were blue. Born prematurely, he has always had terrible circulation. He visits the doctor, who calls to see other doctors perplexed about what is happening.

When she gets back into the room carrying alcohol swabs, the blue begins to fade. He reportedly neglected to wash his new jeans, and every time he carried them in his pocket the ink began rubbing off on his hands.

2) Going Commando Results in an Uncomfiture Meeting

u/olial m1: I forgot to wear underwear and had my physical examination. Unless I’m wearing a short dress, I basically go commando all the time; so, when my doctor advised me to “put the gown on but keep your bra and underwear on,” I facepalmed.

I blushed bright crimson and exclaimed, “I’m not wearing underwear,” when he moved to remove my gown so he could feel around on my stomach. He looked at me weirdly.

Three) a cough becomes a burp.

u/kev0h: I had to go for a sports physical way back in peewee football. Right then, I was really young. I panicked when the doctor instructed me to turn my head and cough as I hadn’t coughed in some time and so burped instead.

4) The Doctors Squashed over Shorter Limb

u/epona92: I have scoliosis, hence when I was younger I had to consult a specialist; my left leg is rather shorter than my right leg (around 1.5 cm, so nothing too extreme).

Older German, the doctor had three international interns—one from China, one from Mexico, and one from South Africa.

Returning and telling me my right leg was shorter than my left, the German doctor pointed to the hip displacement shown on the x-rays. I corrected him, but he insisted my right leg was shorter.

The South African arrived to defend me and noted he was staring at the X-ray backwards. The German doctor rejected all of it, and their dispute grew so hot that the Mexican and Chinese doctors excused themselves.

5) Motorcycle Incident Turns into a Timeless Family Chronicle

u/The Only One 87: The time I was approximately five years old. My two elder brothers and I rode our small motorcycle around in a large field next to our house. Still, I crashed the bike and quite seriously cut my leg open.

I was so transported to the nearby doctor for sutures. I wasn’t wearing any underwear when he pulled down my small jeans. I have the scar on my leg twenty years later. And my absence of underpants is still a frequent family joke.
